Apple Pie Overnight Oats

Servings: 4

This healthy and delicious breakfast can be made ahead of time in less than five minutes. Best of all, it tastes just like a dessert.

2 1/4 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups whole milk or unsweetened almond milk
3 Tbs maple syrup
3 Tbs plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon or apple pie spice
1/2 chopped apple
Optional toppings: Chopped nuts, dried fruit (such as raisins or cranberries), diced apples, additional maple syrup, sprinkle of cinnamon

Stir together all the ingredients in a large bowl and divide into mason jars (if desired) or any other type of small resealable container. Refrigerate overnight or at least 4-5 hours.

When ready to eat, stir the mixture and garnish with your favorite toppings and more apples!

Recipe Notes: Enjoy these oats straight out of the fridge cold or heat them up either in a microwave or on the stovetop. If the mixture is too thick for you the next morning, add some more milk to thin it out.
