From robotics and space exploration to costumes, comics and more, the Anchorage Museum has a camp topic to suit nearly every 7 to 12–year-old’s interest. Designed to foster imagination and experimentation in art, science and technology, campers learn, play and create through exploring museum objects and resources under the guidance of trained educators.

Rock Star Band Camp

Since 1983, the JEC has been providing excellence in education for all children.
Our Camp offers exciting and enriching programming for school age children during all ASD breaks including in-service and early release days, including a Junior Counselor program for older kids. The UAF Summer Music Academy, a joint event sponsored by the UAF College of Liberal Arts Department of Music and the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, is an intensive two week program of musical education for students who have finished grades 6 through 12. Exceptions may be made for exceptional students who are entering the 6th grade and will be considered on a case by case basis. Written recommendation from a public school music teacher or private teacher is required for students seeking an exception. All students of the appropriate age and musical experience are welcomed at the UAF Summer Music Academy regardless of race, religion, gender, or culture. We recognize that each student has a unique style and pace of learning, and seek to provide opportunities for students to learn in their own style and at their own pace while fitting into the larger musical community.
