Feb. 25-March 4 Alaska State Snow Sculpture Championship Head down to Ship Creek to check out all the 2024 Snow Sculptures. Watch as artists of varying levels create miracles from 8ft x 8ft x 8ft blocks of compressed snow. Cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award. (Feb. 25: Judging at 10 am and awards at noon.) March 2 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Ceremonial Start Get an upclose look at the field of worldclass mushers and their dog teams at the start line of the Iditarod Race on Fourth Avenue at D Street, Anchorage.
